The focus of this studio was on pushing creative work “too far” in order to discover new possibilities. Initial concepts were intentionally distorted and reimagined, transforming seemingly simple materials into intricate and unique designs.
Final work from the studio includes 100 iterations of dice, abstractions of everyday objects and their relationship to life, modular typefaces, and an iconographic map developed through group collaboration. Success in this project relied on maintaining an open mind and continually pushing the boundaries of design.
